The Wali of Tamanrasset formally opened the event, welcoming the visiting delegation and praising this ambitious national initiative, which aims to build a scientifically distinguished generation by fostering innovation and creativity among youth. Following his address, the Director of Education for the Wilaya and the Secretary-General of the National Council for Research and Technology explained the program’s objectives and its underlying framework. In the third workshop, Pr. Mokhtar Sellami demonstrated how to learn mathematics using games and interactive activities, promoting critical and creative thinking among participants.
The afternoon session commenced with a visit to the Ahaggar summit, followed by the Imzad House, where students were divided into groups to participate in an ideas competition on various topics. They presented their thoughts and creativity on collaborative panels, and all participants received recognition at the end of the event.
This initiative aligns with the government’s agenda and the Ministry of National Education’s efforts to integrate modern technology, particularly artificial intelligence, into the educational curriculum. This approach aims to equip learners with the necessary digital skills to keep pace with global advancements and to encourage them to think critically and solve problems creatively. These efforts include providing specialized educational programs, organizing workshops and technology competitions to inspire students to explore AI applications, and to develop innovative projects. Additionally, there is a focus on training teachers and equipping them with the knowledge and tools needed to support technology-based learning.
