As part of efforts to promote a more dynamic working environment and enhance institutional
performance, a meeting was held on Thursday, 4 June 2026, at the headquarters of the
National Institute for Research in Education, under the chairmanship of the Institute’s
Director, Professor Chawki Djeddi. The meeting focused on a number of organisational and
administrative measures aimed at ensuring the smooth functioning of the Institute and
enhancing the effectiveness of its work.
Several changes within the administrative team were announced during the meeting. These
included the appointment of Dr. Abdelhamid Abi Ismail as Deputy Director and Ms. Zahoua
Azzi as Secretary-General of the Institute. Dr. Zahia Boukef was appointed Director of the
division of Research in Teaching, Didactics of Disciplines and Pedagogical Innovation, Dr.
Hafida Mokhenfer as Director of the Division of Research in Educational Governance, and
Dr. Hamza Zergui as Head of the Department of Research follow-up and training through
research. In addition, Dr. Amel Belhamiti and Dr. Houria Chargui were appointed Research
Team Leaders. Mr. Amer Khaldi was assigned the duties of Head of the Human Resources
Service, while Ms. Warda Mekhich was appointed Head of the General Services Department.
These appointments are consistent with the requirements of the current phase and the
Institute’s objectives of enhancing its performance and making the best use of its human
resources.
The meeting also provided an opportunity to honour Ms. Radia Bransi, Dr. Houria Chergui,
Dr. Hakim Bouamama, Dr. Bachir Rahmi, and Mr. Noureddine Zerouk in recognition of their
dedication, professionalism, and valuable contributions to the Institute and the achievement of
its objectives. The tribute was marked by a spirit of appreciation and gratitude for their
contributions.
In his closing remarks, the Director stressed the importance of continuing to work in a spirit
of teamwork and reinforcing a culture of commitment and responsibility, in order to advance
the Institute’s objectives and further strengthen the Institute’s role and standing in support of
the education system.
