The National Institute for Research in Education (INRE) organized, on Thursday, 18 June 2026, a scientific workshop entitled “The Current State of Learning Outcomes Assessment in Algerian Schools and Its Use in Pedagogical Remediation: Current Practices and Prospects for Development and Improvement,” with the participation of researchers, inspectors, teachers, and education specialists.
The workshop opened with an address delivered by the Institute’s Director, Professor Chawki Djeddi, who emphasized the importance of developing educational assessment practices and strengthening their role in improving learning and supporting student success.
The event featured a series of specialised workshops focusing on the current state of learning outcomes assessment and the mechanisms of pedagogical remediation, along with discussions on ways to further develop assessment practices and make better use of assessment results to support learning.
The workshop concluded with the presentation of the main recommendations and proposals aimed at enhancing the effectiveness of educational assessment and advancing pedagogical practices, thereby contributing to improving the quality of education.
